Box-style Wearbacks

Shown are two “box-style” wearbacks on a pallet ready to ship to the customer. The end plates of these wearbacks were not welded on. The customer may be leaving the “box” empty or filling it with concrete. Abrasive materials will eventually wear through the backside of the pipe bends, but the wearback (or the concrete) will be there to contain the abrasive material – thus prolonging the life of the bends.
